in the past years of working from home, I have to admit that countless online English schools pop like mushrooms.
Promising good services and support to tutors and teachers. As well as good pay and incentives. But sometimes the reality could be a nightmare. Been there, done that. I don’t want you guys to be in the same situation.
I was even paid half of what I should’ve been paid. Imagine that. The horror! As promised I tried my best to get best schools on top of my lists. Here’s another one you might want to try.

You’ve probably heard SayABC from my previous posts many times. Because it’s a good company.
SayABC has been serving students in China for two years already. They have thousands of students which are one big factor why this company is growing very well. I used to work for a company that has more free time than teaching time. Just imagine my pay.
What is SayABC?
This Beijing-based company is backed by tier-one investors in China and the US. It’s a dynamic and a fast-growing online education platform that strives to bring the highest quality English learning experience to millions of young learners in China.
What are the requirements?
-Native level of English
-A reliable internet connection that is strong enough for a smooth audio and video connection.
-Although a bachelor degree is necessary you can still apply if you don’t have one. They believe that training a new generation of teachers is best done through hands-on practice.
-Any relevant teaching experience.
– Lives in the US, China, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Middle East Europe, Korea and they are currently expanding to more countries.

Do I need to prepare teaching materials?
No, SayABC supplies all teaching materials. However, teachers must prepare for class by reviewing the teaching materials beforehand. This is such a breeze, unlike my experience with other companies.
I remember I used to gather all the teaching lessons from the internet hours before the class and make sure that it’s level-appropriate for each and every student. Very time-consuming.
SayABC provides not only teaching materials but their own teaching platform. You don’t need to download SKYPE to teach. This is so convenient and useful at the same time.
What is the Pay rate?
You can earn up to $21/40 minute class. If you will convert it to an hour that’s
$28/hour. And that doesn’t include other incentives. An additional $2 as a seasonal incentive, $16 per converted student if you teach a trial class. $7 if you take over a class. You do the math. You can earn almost $3000/ monthly doing this part-time for just 5 days a week. At home.
How do I get paid?
No Paypal? No problem. They sent payment through wire transfers. On or before the 15th of each month.
Now, if you’re interested and want to get hired I suggest to be prepared, You can make this work for you. And get a lasting career out of this even if you don’t have a degree. Imagine how you can take advantage of this. Especially if you’re a student, Stay-at-home parent, tired of the 9-5, etc. Here’s the application process so you can be prepared and let them see that you are worth hiring.

Based on experience, Getting hired in a great company is such a fulfillment. I taught online for almost 10 years. And each job interview was nerve-racking. Take note, I didn’t have any experience then. I just did the following:
1. Smile with all my heart
2. Stay calm and answer questions confidently.
3. Prove to them that I’m willing to undergo all the training I need and that I’m capable to adapt and grow with the company.
4. Patient enough to handle kids
5. Last but not the least. Pray

Teaching is my passion and I love children.
I have 20 years of teaching experience, 12 years teaching the American ACE curriculum, grades 1-12, 300 hour TEFL training, and have taught in a government school, with 10 little boys who the principal told would me would fail at the end of the year, I was given a curriculum and asked to just sit with them- all 10 passed at the end of the year!!. I studied as as an interior designer prior to my teaching.
