Ever thought why Malaysia is truly Asia?
Malaysia’s travel must-see?! Honestly, Growing up in this region, I always thought that most Southeast Asian countries are just the same in many aspects making it less interesting to visit.
I was wrong. We went there and yes, I fell in love with Malaysia. Although every country has their own sides of good and bad. I would like to share the good and why it’s worth traveling. So here are Malaysia travel must-see.
1. Genting Highlands –
One of the top tourist spots in Malaysia and also known as the little Las Vegas. The temperature is perfect for tourist who wants to escape the humidity of the City. If you love Entertainment/Gamble this is the place for you. Good news for families with kids, Genting has a massive theme park and lots of attractions that will surely enjoy. Making it another reason to visit the highlands.
2. Batu Caves-
Aside from lots of pigeons around, a huge golden statue welcomes the tourists. It is known as Lord Murugan . Batu cave is no doubt another top tourist destinations in Malaysia. Before you reach the cave you must climb up the long stairs.
Which I think is amazing. You just need to be careful with some monkeys, ready to grab something like your food or your cap. At the top, you’ll see shrines, temples and Hindu relics. It’s a very nice experience. And don’t forget to wear pants.
I remember my sister in law and I were wearing shorts then so we had to rent like some sort of scarf to cover our legs. So be sure to either wear long dresses, skirts or pants if you’re planning to visit them to avoid any inconvenience. Batu caves is another Malaysia travel must-visit.
3. Melaka-
It is listed in the UNESCO world heritage because of its architectural and historic significance. Each piece of this city is a beauty. It’s like houses and houses and walls of history. Such beauty. You can also taste their rich history through their cuisine. And at the end of the day, you can relax with a cool river cruise.
4. Petronas Towers-
Here’s something you shouldn’t miss. This is the most iconic structure in Malaysia. This is also an Instagram-worthy. So better take lots of pictures. This used to be the highest tower in Asia until Taipei 101 was built. But still, this structure is majestic. Try to also check it out in the evening. It’s amazing.
5. Sunway Lagoon water park-
If I will ask my kids to list the best things about Malaysia. This will top their list. It actually surpassed my expectations as I thought it would be just another theme park. As an adult, I actually enjoyed the rides/water slides and so much more. This is a cool break from all the long walks and climbs from the trip. Sunway Lagoon is one of Malasia’s travel musts
These are just some of the best places in Malaysia, We weren’t able to see the rest but this list is a must. Not to mention affordable hotels. You should try visiting it this 2020
